2000s Hen Party FAQs

Do we need to know the dances already?

No way! Our York instructors specialise in teaching total beginners. We'll break down every move from the 'Single Ladies' hand flip to the 'Soulja Boy' crank. Whether you're a Yorkshire native or visiting our historic city, you'll be dropping it like it's hot in no time. The 2000s were all about confidence and attitude - perfect for your hen celebration!

What 2000s songs will we dance to?

Get ready for peak Y2K vibes! We're talking 'Crazy in Love', 'Hips Don't Lie', 'Milkshake', and all the bangers from your uni days. Our York DJs mix everything from Destiny's Child to Justin Timberlake, Rihanna to Gwen Stefani. Remember grinding to 'Yeah!' by Usher? We've got it! Plus all those guilty pleasures like S Club 7 and Blue. Special requests welcome - our sound system will transport you straight back to your first flip phone!

Should we dress up in 2000s fashion?

OMG yes! The 2000s fashion is having a moment! Think velour tracksuits (bonus points for 'Juicy' on the back), low-rise jeans, butterfly clips, and those tiny sunglasses. Past York hen parties have channeled everything from Paris Hilton's pink obsession to Avril Lavigne's tie-and-tank combo. Hit up the charity shops on Goodramgate for authentic Von Dutch caps and popcorn shirts. Don't forget the frosted lip gloss and body glitter - because in the 2000s, you could never shine too bright!

Is this suitable for all ages?

Totally! The 2000s are perfect for mixed-age groups - whether you lived through it or discovered it on TikTok! Our York instructors adapt every routine for different abilities. From millennials reliving their youth to Gen Z discovering why we were obsessed with Motorola Razrs, everyone gets involved. Multi-generational hen parties in York love it - there's something special about teaching your mum the 'Cha Cha Slide' while exploring Yorkshire together!
