Grease Hen Party FAQs

Do we need to know the Grease dances?

Absolutely not! You don't need Rydell High dance training! Our York instructors break down every move from the hand jive to the final carnival choreography. We start with basic 1950s steps and build to those show-stopping numbers. Whether you're a Yorkshire local or visiting for the hen weekend, we'll have you dancing like a Pink Lady or T-Bird in no time. Remember - even Sandy learned to dance, and look how that turned out!

What Grease songs will we dance to?

Experience the full Rydell High soundtrack! Dance to "Summer Nights", "Greased Lightning", "You're The One That I Want", and master the legendary "Born to Hand Jive". Plus "We Go Together", "Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee", and more! Our York studios transform into the Rydell gym as we recreate those iconic movie moments. From sweet romance to sassy attitude, every song brings different energy and choreography. It's electrifying!

Should we dress as Pink Ladies or T-Birds?

YES! Channel your inner Rydell High student! Pink Ladies jackets, poodle skirts, leather jackets, and white T-shirts are perfect. Many York hen parties split between Pink Ladies and T-Birds for fun rivalry. The vintage shops on Fossgate have amazing 1950s pieces - circle skirts, neckerchiefs, and cat-eye sunglasses. Don't forget the victory rolls, red lipstick, and slicked-back hair! Whether you're good Sandy or bad Sandy, commit to the look - it's cool to be in school!

Is Grease suitable for all generations?

Absolutely! Grease appeals to every generation - grandmas remember when it first came out! Our York instructors adapt the energy levels perfectly, from gentle hand jive to full-on dance contest moves. Whether you're 21 or 71, everyone knows these songs. Multi-generational hen parties love it - nothing beats three generations doing "Summer Nights" together in York! Plus, the 1950s theme brings out everyone's playful side. We go together, indeed!
